Wild things are happening in Minnesota’s prospect system, today we look at who’s making waves
Lirim Amidovski (LW) – North Bay Battalion (2022-25)
Selected: 4th Round, 121st Overall (2025)
OHL Career Stats: 126 GP, 23 G, 20 A, 43 PTS, -21
Age: 18
Chosen by the Wild in the fourth round of the 2025 NHL Draft, Lirim Amidovski posted a career-best 32 points (19-13–32) in 67 games last season. The 6-foot-1 winger continues to trend upward with North Bay, bringing size and goal-scoring upside to the pipeline.
Stevie Leskovar (D) – Peterborough Petes (2021-23), Mississauga/Brampton Steelheads (2023-25)
Selected: 6th Round, 174th Overall (2024)
OHL Career Stats: 160 GP, 4 G, 17 A, 21 PTS, +6
Age: 20
A physical presence on the back end, Stevie Leskovar served as an alternate captain for the Steelheads this past season, notching 6 points (1-5–6) and 76 penalty minutes in 35 games. The 6-foot-4 defenceman recently signed an entry-level deal with Minnesota and will continue developing within the Wild system.
Hunter Haight (C) – Barrie Colts (2021-23), Saginaw Spirit (2022-24)
Selected: 2nd Round, 47th Overall (2022)
OHL Career Stats: 193 GP, 68 G, 100 A, 168 PTS, +13
Age: 21
Hunter Haight had an impressive rookie campaign in the AHL, finishing second on the Iowa Wild in goals (20) and fifth in points (34). In April, he was recalled to Minnesota as a Black Ace for the team’s playoff run.
Matthew Sop (C) – Kitchener Rangers (2019-24)
Signed: July 14, 2025
OHL Career Stats: 203 GP, 76 G, 93 A, 169 PTS, +25
Age: 22
After splitting time between the AHL and ECHL, Matthew Sop tallied 11 points (4-7–11) with Iowa and 32 (13-19–32) more with the Heartlanders. He was recently extended by Iowa to another one-year, two-way contract and will look to push for a larger AHL role next season.
Cameron Butler (RW) – Peterborough Petes (2018-20), Niagara IceDogs (2019-22), Oshawa Generals (2021-23)

OHL Career Stats: 257 GP, 74 G, 80 A, 154 PTS, -84
Age: 23
Recently acquired from a trade with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Cameron Butler joins the Wild organization after spending the last season with the Cleveland Monsters of the AHL, where he posted 3 points (2-1–3) and 74 penalty minutes in 37 regular-season games. He has appeared in one NHL game with the Blue Jackets, making his debut on March 30, 2024.
Matvey Guskov (LW) – London Knights (2018-20)
Selected: 5th Round, 149th Overall (2019)
OHL Career Stats: 121 GP, 28 G, 32 A, 60 PTS, +18
Age: 24
Matvey Guskov has spent the past few seasons playing in Russia’s KHL. This past year, he recorded 4 points (1-3–4) in 14 games with the Traktor Chelyabinsk, where he is expected to remain for the upcoming season.
