Matthew Schaefer (Erie Otters)
2025 first-overall pick Matthew Schaefer made history again, scoring five goals in November for his eighth of the year and becoming the first teenage defenseman in NHL history to score eight goals through his first 25 career games.

Mackenzie Blackwood (Barrie Colts) & Scott Wedgewood (Plymouth Whalers)
The ‘Wood’ goalie tandem of the Colorado Avalanche have combined to backstop the team to a 17 game point-streak, becoming the second-longest run in franchise history. Colorado currently sits first in the NHL with a 19-1-6 record.

OHL Tops Rookie Scoring
Four of the top six players on the AHL Rookie Scoring leaderboard came from the OHL ranks last season:
#1. Nick Lardis (Brantford Bulldogs) – 22 points (11-11–22)

- Beckett Sennecke (Oshawa Generals) – Became the second-fastest player in Anaheim Ducks history to record 20 NHL points.
- Wyatt Johnston (Windsor Spitfires) – Became the third player in Dallas Stars history with four career hat tricks before age 23.
- Mitch Marner (London Knights) – Has required the fewest games (25 GP) to 20 career assists with the Golden Knights franchise.
- Jakob Chychrun (Sarnia Sting) – Became the second-fastest defenseman in Washignton Capitals history to reach the 10-goal mark in a season.
