Knights Sign Vandeven to OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement
The London Knights have signed defenceman Jacob Vandeven to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
A native of Komoka, Ont., Vandeven was acquired by the Knights earlier this season from the Owen Sound Attack as part of the Julian Brown trade. Originally selected by Owen Sound in the fifth round, 89th overall, of the 2024 OHL Priority Selection, the 17-year-old has continued to develop into a reliable two-way defenceman.
Vandeven spent the 2025-26 season with the GOJHL’s Komoka Kings, recording 13 goals and 19 assists for 32 points in 47 games. He also suited up in eight regular season games with the Knights, adding one goal across four playoff appearances.
Prior to joining Komoka, Vandeven recorded 29 points in 46 games with the St. Thomas Stars during the 2024-25 season and was selected to participate in the 2024 GOJHL Top Prospects Game.
“Jacob brings tremendous upside to our hockey club. He will make an immediate impact on our roster and we are excited for his upcoming season,” said Knights General Manager Mark Hunter.
