Knights’ Cowan signs with Maple Leafs
Toronto, Ont. – The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has signed London Knights forward Easton Cowan to a three-year, entry-level contract.
The 18-year-old, Mount Brydges, Ont. native was selected by the Maple Leafs in the first round (28th overall) of the 2023 NHL Draft after recording 53 points (20-33-53) in 68 regular season games, and 21 points (9-12-21) in 20 playoff contests with the Western Conference Champions last season.
Selected in the second round (25th overall) by the Knights in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection, Cowan was named to the OHL’s 2022-23 Second All-Rookie Team.
