In The Game: Justin O’Donnell (Sarnia Sting)
He’s on deck to start the Memorial eCup presented by Kia on Saturday afternoon at 2:10pm, and Justin O’Donnell plans to go all the way. Representing the Sarnia Sting, O’Donnell will take on Winnipeg ICE forward Mikey Milne to launch the proceedings.
A 17-year-old from Oakville, Ont., O’Donnell battled his way past Sting teammates Nolan Burke, Ethan Langevin and Brayden Guy to earn the chance to represent Sting Nation in the 64-team bracket. The Sting will be airing their eCup Qualifiers on their Twitch account leading up to the start of the tourney.
Fast Fact:
Friends call him O.D. O’Donnell was Sarnia’s second round (35th overall) pick in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection and registered a goal and four assists in his rookie season. The 6-foot, 180Ib. right winger scored his first career OHL goal on February 8th in Windsor.
