Four OHL grads help Florida Everblades win third straight Kelly Cup title
The Florida Everblades are 2024 ECHL Champions, hoisting the Kelly Cup for the third year in a row following a 4-3 overtime win over the Kansas City Mavericks on Saturday night in Estero, Florida.
The Everblades took the ECHL’s Championship Series in five games, becoming the first team in league history to win three consecutive championships, giving them four in the history of their franchise.
A quartet of OHL graduates contributed to the championship in blueliner Jordan Sambrook (Erie Otters/Soo Greyhounds) as well as forwards Josh Ho-Sang (Windsor Spitfires/Niagara IceDogs), Sean Josling (Sarnia Sting) and Kyle Neuber (Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors/Sarnia Sting).
Behind the bench, Brad Ralph (Oshawa Generals) wins his third straight title as Head Coach. Former OHL netminder Anthony Peters (Oshawa/Kingston/Saginaw/Belleville/Mississauga) worked alongside Ralph as an Assistant Coach.
