Colts’ Tabak commits to Guelph for 2022-23
The University of Guelph Gryphons men’s hockey program has announced that Barrie Colts overage forward Anthony Tabak has committed for the 2022-23 season.
Tabak, 20, will be pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Guelph come fall. The 6-foot-5, 208Ib. left winger has 27 points (10-17–27) through 33 games with the Colts in this, his fourth OHL season.
“I’ve heard nothing but great things about the city and the program that the coaches run at the University of Guelph,” said Tabak. “I’m looking forward to the next chapter of my hockey career and getting the chance to get a good education really helped my decision.”
A native of Oakville, Ont., Tabak has produced 30 goals, 68 assists and 98 points over 211 career OHL contests between Sudbury, Sarnia and Barrie. He was Sudbury’s third round (53rd overall) pick in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection from the Mississauga Senators U16 program.
