Hailing from Wentzville, Missouri, Jackman was selected by Owen Sound as a second round pick (41st overall) during the 2025 OHL Priority Selection Draft. Attack General Manager, Dale DeGray says he felt excited to announce the signing of Jackman.
“Landon is a big, strong, powerful forward with very good hockey sense and an excellent shot. We look forward to seeing Landon in his Attack jersey come September and would like to welcome Landon and his family to the Attack organization.”
Jackman put up 23 goals, 21 assists and 44 points in 20 MAHA 15U contests with Little Caesars in 2024-25.
“It’s a blessing just to be able to get drafted to such a great organization and to be a part of the team…” Jackman said while asked how he felt about the draft.
“It means the world to me that Owen Sound took a chance on a kid from St. Louis and I am just so beyond excited to be a part of the team.”
Owen Sound Attack Head Coach, Scott Wray, says he is thrilled to bring a such a ‘good two-way forward with high-end upside’.
“We are very happy that he chose to come play for our organization being from St. Louis area and playing for the Little Caesars,” said Wray. “Without the rule change I’m not sure that we could have landed such a good American forward. He has a little Tkachuk to his game, which I love.”
