67’s sign import forward Jasper Kuhta

The Ottawa 67’s have announced that import forward Jasper Kuhta has signed an Ontario Hockey League Scholarship and Development Agreement with the team.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Jasper to the Ottawa 67’s,” said 67’s General Manager James Boyd. “We look forward to his arrival, and to seeing him on the ice for training camp.”

Kuhta, 18, spent the 2024–25 season with the HIFK Helsinki U20 program, where he recorded 18 goals and 25 assists for 43 points over 38 regular season games. He was a point-per-game player in the post-season where he tallied two goals for two points in two games played.

The Helsinki, Finland native was selected 72nd overall by Ottawa in this year’s Canadian Hockey League Import Draft. He also spent some time in the Finnish Hockey League where he played eight games.

Les 67’s d’Ottawa ont annoncé que l’attaquant importé Jasper Kuhta a signé une entente de bourse d’études et de développement de la Ligue de hockey de l’Ontario avec l’équipe.

« Nous sommes très heureux d’accueillir Jasper au sein des 67 d’Ottawa », a déclaré le directeur général des 67, James Boyd. « Nous avons hâte qu’il arrive et qu’il soit sur la glace au camp d’entraînement. »

Kuhta, 18 ans, a passé la saison 2024-25 avec le programme U20 du HIFK Helsinki, où il a inscrit 18 buts et 25 passes pour 43 points en 38 matchs de saison régulière. Il a été un joueur de point par match en après-saison, où il a marqué deux buts pour deux points en deux matchs.

Le natif d’Helsinki, en Finlande, a été sélectionné 72e au total par Ottawa lors de la séance de sélection des joueurs importés de la Ligue canadienne de hockey de cette année. Il a également joué huit matchs dans la Ligue de hockey finlandaise.
