Bulls’ grad Quine signs with Islanders
The New York Islanders announced Saturday that they have signed Alan Quine of the Belleville Bulls to a three-year entry-level contract.
Quine was selected by the Islanders in the sixth round of the 2013 NHL Draft.
A 20-year-old from Ottawa, ON, Quine is eligible to return to the OHL as an overage player this season but was assigned to the AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers after attending the Islanders’ Main Training Camp in September.
A four-year OHL veteran, Quine played in 252 career games between the Bulls, Peterborough Petes, and Kingston Frontenacs where he began his career as the second overall pick in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection.
Last season with the Bulls he tallied 41 points in 28 games to close out the 2012-13 season.
