Aidan Lane (RW) – Brampton Steelheads (2024-25)
Selected: 6th Round, 176th Overall (2025)
OHL Career Stats: 13 GP, 7 G, 6 A, 13 PTS, +10
Age: 18
With the 176th pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, the Calgary Flames selected Aidan Lane of the Brampton Steelheads. After leaving St. Andrew’s College, Lane made an immediate impact in the OHL, posting 13 points (7-6–13) in as many games. He is committed to Harvard University for the 2025-26 NCAA season.
Zayne Parekh (D) – Saginaw Spirit (2022-25)
Selected: 1st Round, 9th Overall (2024)
OHL Career Stats: 177 GP, 87 G, 153 A, 240 PTS, +84
Age: 19
Zayne Parekh led OHL defencemen in all offensive categories in 2024-25 with 107 points (33-74–107), becoming the first OHL blueliner since Bobby Orr to record back-to-back 30-goal seasons and just the ninth to surpass the 100-point mark. Parekh made his NHL debut on April 17 and scored his first career goal in the same game.
Jacob Battaglia (LW) – Kingston Frontenacs (2022-25)
Selected: 2nd Round, 62nd Overall (2024)
OHL Career Stats: 201 GP, 33 G, 74 A, 107 PTS, +42
Age: 19
Continuing his upward trajectory in his third season with the Kingston Frontenacs, Jacob Battaglia has once again set career-highs, recording 90 points (40-50–90) in 68 regular-season games, averaging over a point per game. The assistant captain continued that momentum into the playoffs where he posted 16 points (3-13–16) in 11 games.
Henry Mews (D) – Ottawa 67’s (2022-25), Sudbury Wolves (2024-25)
Selected: 3rd Round, 74th Overall (2024)
OHL Career Stats: 188 GP, 41 G, 133 A, 174 PTS, +18
Age: 19
Following a midseason trade to the Sudbury Wolves, Henry Mews quickly found his footing, recording 32 points (3-29–32) in 30 games – maintaining a point-per-game pace. In April, he announced his commitment to the University of Michigan for the 2025-26 season.
Luke Misa (C) – Mississauga/Brampton Steelheads (2021-25)
Selected: 5th Round, 150th Overall (2024)
OHL Career Stats: 259 GP, 77 G, 158 A, 235 PTS, +69
Age: 19
A late 2005-born forward, Luke Misa made the most of his fourth OHL season, setting a new career high with 85 points (34-51–85) in 67 games. He maintained his point-per-game pace in the postseason with 12 points (2-10–12) in six contests. He’s committed to Penn State for 2025-26.
Hunter Brzustewicz (D) – Kitchener Rangers (2022-24)
Acquired: January 31, 2024
OHL Career Stats: 135 GP, 19 G, 130 A, 149 PTS, +39
Age: 19
Acquired by the Flames organization midseason, Hunter Brzustewicz made his AHL and NHL debuts in 2024-25. With the Calgary Wranglers, he posted 32 points (5-27–32) in 70 games – second among team defencemen. He also played his first NHL game on April 17 alongside Zayne Parekh, finishing with a plus-2 rating and two shots on goal.
Artem Grushniko (D) – Hamilton Bulldogs (2021-23)
Acquired: February 28, 2024
OHL Career Stats: 121 GP, 13 G, 16 A, 29 PTS, +40
Age: 22
Known for his physical, shutdown style, Artem Grushnikov was instrumental in Hamilton’s 2022 OHL Championship run. Originally drafted 48th overall by Dallas in 2021, he joined the Flames organization in 2024. This past season, he tallied 5 points (1-4–5) in 61 AHL games.
Rory Kerins (C) – Soo Greyhounds (2018-22)
Selected: 6th Round, 174th Overall (2020)
OHL Career Stats: 188 GP, 82 G, 118 A, 200 PTS, +25
Age: 23
Rory Kerins led the Wranglers in both goals and points this past season, finishing with 33 goals and 61 points in 63 games. He made his NHL debut on January 13 and notched two assists in his first game.
Ilya Solovyov (D) – Saginaw Spirit (2019-20)
Selected: 7th Round, 205th Overall (2020)
OHL Career Stats: 53 GP, 7 G, 33 A, 40 PTS, +43
Age: 25
Now in his third season with the Wranglers, Belarusian defenceman Ilya Solovyov set career highs with 28 points (6-22–28) in 59 games. His steady development earned him another NHL call-up, where he contributed an assist in five games.
