Wolves in London
The Sudbury Wolves dropped a 7-2 decision to the London Knights on Sunday as the Wolves finished their 3 in 3 weekend with the loss. Overage forwards Brody Silk and Nathan Pancel scored power play goals for the Wolves, but, it wasn’t enough as the Knights won their sixth straight game.
The Wolves trailed 2-1 after one and 4-2 after two periods of play. The Wolves outshot the Knights 25-10 in the second period but could only score one power play goal. The Wolves were 2 for 9 on the power play while the Knights were 0 for 2 with the man advantage.
Wolves’ goaltender Troy Timpano made 35 saves on 42 shots while the Wolves fired 49 shots at the Knights’ goaltender. Almost 8,900 fans attended Sunday’s game in London.
The Wolves will now rest-up and prepare for a double-header weekend including a match-up with the Barrie Colts on Friday night at 7:30 and the Belleville Bulls at 7:00 pm on Saturday. Tickets are now on sale for both games at the arena ticket office.
