Winless on the Weekend
The Sudbury Wolves continue to work hard towards their first win of the season, but it was not to be on Saturday night as the Pack remain winless after losing to the Sarnia Sting by a final score of 7 – 2.
The Wolves found themselves in a hole early being down 3 – 0 before KRISTOFF KONTOS (RYAN HANES, FRANK CORRADO) scored his first goal of the season midway through the second period. The Sting added goals in the final minute of the middle frame and early in the third period to take at 5 – 1 lead. ANDREY KUCHIN (GREG JAMBROSICH, JUSTIN SEFTON) netted his first of the season early in the third period but it was not enough as the Sting added to more en route to the 7 – 2 victory.
BRENDAN O’NEILL made his fourth start of the season and made 20 saves while his counterpart Brandon Maxwell made 30 saves for the win.
The Wolves will continue on the road as they will travel to the Soo on Wednesday, October 5 to take on the Greyhounds. Game time is 7:05pm.
The Pack will then return to the Sudbury Arena on Friday, October 7 to take on the Niagara Ice Dogs. Tickets for this game are still available for purchase by phone at 705-671-3000 or online here.
