MOLSON CANADIAN 3-STAR AWARD Toronto Maple Leafs prospect JOSH LEIVO is the Wolves’ winner of the MOLSON CANADIAN 3-STAR AWARD as the 19 year old leading scorer on the Wolves was named as the game’s 1st star on two occasions and also named as the game’s 3rd star on two occasions in the Wolves first 16 games. The Barrie native was also named OHL Player of the Week. The big right-winger has scored 10 goals and added six assists for 16 points in 16 games. LEIVO has scored two game winners and has scored the all important opening goal of the game on two occasions. The Wolves are extremely fortunate to have JOSH LEIVO leading the way offensively for the Wolves this season. |

INDUSTRIAL ALLIANCE PLAYER OF THE MONTH Vancouver Canucks’ prospect FRANK CORRADO is the Wolves’ INDUSTRIAL ALLIANCE PLAYER OF THE MONTH. CORRADO, 19, has enjoyed an outstanding start to the 2012-13 season with 16 points in 16 games and sits in third place in top scoring defencemen in the OHL just a point back of league leader. CORRADO was named team captain of the Wolves in September and has been an inspirational leader for the Wolves. The Vaughn, Ontario native has been solid on the Wolves’ blueline all season long often logging over 30 minutes per game. The Wolves are extremely proud of their captain FRANK CORRADO and what he has done for his team since leading the Wolves to the gold medal in Omsk, Russia. |

CAMPBELLS SCHOLASTIC PLAYER OF THE MONTH Sudbury Wolves’ 16-year-old forward CONNOR BURGESS is the winner of the CAMPBELLS SCHOLASTIC PLAYER OF THE MONTH AWARD. The Sudbury native is concluding his secondary school education at Lasalle Secondary School this season and has accumulated a 90% average in university level courses including: Biology, Chemistry and Geography. The son of Wolves’ owner and & CEO Mark Burgess is also completing a co-op class which will provide the 5’11” left-winger with four full credits this semester. The Sudbury Wolves join Bill Nurmi Jr. and CAMPBELLS in recognizing the outstanding accomplishments in the classroom by one of the Wolves’ rookie forwards – CONNOR BURGESS. |

TRAVELODGE HOTEL SUDBURY COMMUNITY PLAYER OF THE MONTH NATHAN PANCEL is the winner of the TRAVELODGE HOTEL SUDBURY COMMUNITY PLAYER OF THE MONTH AWARD. The Ottawa native is off to a good start this season with 11 points in 16 games and currently sits in 4th place in team scoring. Pancel, 18, has scored six times including three goals on the power play. The hardworking left winger plays in all situations and is a difficult player to play against. Nathan is one of the Wolves’ community driven players as he loves to meet with young fans and participate in team community functions as often as he can. Nathan Pancel is one of those players that understands the importance of ‘giving back’ to the community that he plays for. The Sudbury Wolves are truly fortunate to have Nathan Pancel representing the organization on and off the ice this season. |

Award presentations will begin this weekend as the Sudbury Wolves will play a weekend double-header on home ice including Friday night against the big, bad BARRIE COLTS (7:30) and again on a Sudbury Saturday night against the OTTAWA 67s (7:00).
