Wolves Host Storm Friday
(GREATER SUDBURY, ON) The Sudbury Wolves return home to host the Guelph Storm Friday. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05pm.
The Pack currently sit third in the Eastern Conference, with the arrival of Dalibor Dvorsky (STL) immediately paying dividends, as the Slovak has recorded points in both of his first two games with the club. Andre Anania is the model of consistency, recording another three assists on the weekend, with 10 assists on the season to rank second in OHL defencemen. Wolves’ captain David Goyette (SEA) continues to record multiple point games and leads the team in points with 14 in 10 games, and now sits top-5 in OHL assists. Goaltender Jakub Vondras (CAR) continues to help the club with timely saves, featuring fourth in the league for goals against average (2.24) and seventh in save percentage (0.909).
The Guelph Storm enter this week fourth in the Western Conference. They’ve seen stellar play from their starting goaltender Brayden Gillespie, who leads the league in goals against average with a 1.88, along with a 0.933 save percentage. Leading the Storm offensively is over ager Braeden Bowman, who’s recorded nine points in nine games to start Guelph’s campaign. Their roster also features NHL prospects Vilmer Alriksson (VAN), Michael Buchinger (STL), and Jake Karabela (WSH).
Friday’s game is sponsored by 92.7 ROCK who will be onsite collecting nonperishable and canned food items at the game. Everyone who donates towards the food drive will be entered into a draw to win great prizes. It’s also ROCK night heading into Halloween weekend where fans are encouraged to dress up in costume or as their favourite rockstar.
