Wolves Host Steelheads Wednesday
(GREATER SUDBURY, ON) The Sudbury Wolves return to the Den Wednesday night, when Central Division rivals the Mississauga Steelheads visit for a pivotal matchup at 7:05pm.
The Pack look to keep things rolling after two massive wins at the Den last week. Friday night, the Wolves took on the Brantford Bulldogs in a matchup where the Wolves prevailed claiming first place in the conference with a 7-4 win. Saturday night saw the best in the Eastern Conference play the best in the Western Conference, the Kitchener Rangers. Down 5-2 in the middle of the second period, the Pack proved their resilience, with five unanswered being enough for a 7-5 win against Kitchener.
The Mississauga Steelheads enter Wednesday’s game three points back of the Wolves for first in the Central Division. The Steelheads are a team with lots of firepower, they’re led by 2024 NHL Draft prospect Luke Misa, who has 52 points (15 goals and 37 assists), and 2025 NHL Draft prospect Porter Martone, who’s recorded 47 points (28 goals and 19 assists). Starting goaltender and 2024 NHL Draft prospect Ryerson Leenders currently sits second in the OHL for save percentage with a 0.911.
