Wolves Complete Trade with Windsor
(Greater Sudbury, ON) The Sudbury Wolves have completed a trade with the Windsor Spitfires ahead of the OHL trade deadline. The Wolves receive a 3rd round pick in 2027 (FLT) and an 8th round pick in 2025 (WSR) in exchange for over age defenceman, Djibril Toure.
“We would like to thank Djibril for everything he has done for the Sudbury Wolves,” said Wolves VP and General Manager Rob Papineau. “He is an inspiration to all young hockey players to never give up on your dreams. He made our team as a 19-year-old free agent and went on to earn an NHL contract with Ottawa. We think really highly of Djibril as a person and teammate, and we wish him all the best in Windsor.”
Djibril played 81 games for the Wolves following his signing to the club as a free agent in 2022. The 6’7 blueliner has recorded a total of 28 points (11G-17A), a +33, and 126 penalty minutes. The Sudbury Wolves thank him for his dedication and commitment to the club and would like to wish him the best of luck in his future hockey career.
