Wolves Captain Capobianco Signs with Coyotes
The Sudbury Wolves are pleased to announce that Kyle Capobianco has signed with the Arizona Coyotes this weekend. The third (63rd overall) round draft choice in 2015 signed his new NHL standard 3 year, entry-level player contract while the team was playing against Barrie.
Capobianco has spent the last 3 seasons with the Sudbury Wolves, has grown and developed his game, his skills and his leadership qualities which earned him the Captains C this season with the Wolves.
In a statement by the Arizona Coyotes, General Manager John Chayka announced the signing. As per club policies, terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Shortly after signing, with the presence of his parents, Tony and Julie, agent, Anton Thun, Kyle said, “I am so excited to join the Coyotes organization and plan to continue to work hard this season developing here and continuing to lead in the New Era of Wolves hockey. I have my parents and family to thank for all the support growing up and the Wolves organization as a whole for helping me continue to develop.”
The 19-year-old Capobianco has registered 4-7-11 with a plus-6 rating in 12 games with the Sudbury Wolves (OHL), which ranks 4th on the team. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound native of Mississauga, Ontario has collected 21-84-105 in 201 career games with the Wolves.
