Tracking the Storm – Francis Menard
The Embrun, Ont., native Francis Menard was selected by the Storm in the 6th round in the 2008 OHL Priority Selection. Francis played 3-seasons with the Storm before being traded to the Peterborough Petes. In his time with the Storm, Francis appeared in 199-games notching 42-goals and 64-assists. Some of Francis’ highlights include being awarded the 2010-2011 Guelph Storm Most Improved Player and being named to the 2011-2012 leadership group as an assistant captain.
Following his OHL career, Francis became a member of the St. Mary’s University Huskies men’s hockey team. Francis spent 4-seasons with St. Mary’s appearing in 98-games.
