Storm select Liam Stevens 27th Overall
The Storm selected Liam Stevens with their second round pick, 27th overall, in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection presented by State Farm.
A native of Waterdown, the 5’8″, 181lb Stevens spent this past season with the Hamilton Junior Bulldogs posting 29 goals and 51 points in 34 games played at the minor midget level.
OHL CENTRAL SCOUTING REPORT
Liam is the hardest hitter in this years draft – there isn’t a hit that he doesn’t like. It could be open ice, along the boards, on the forecheck. He is a very powerful skater and is explosive in his lower body. Liam’s puck skills and offensive game sometimes gets over looked a little but he has a very hard wrist shot. He has a quick stride and can play the game at high a high speed. He has a very strong shot that can beat goalies from the top of the circles.
