Storm explodes for six in the second to defeat Rangers 7-5

What a crazy game.
The Guelph Storm scored six goals in a seven minute, 22 second span of the second period then held on for dear life in the third before emerging with a 7-5 win over the Kitchener Rangers Saturday afternoon at the Sleeman Centre.
It was Guelph’s final game before an 11 day Christmas break. Pending league action Saturday night, Guelph’s 15-14-4-1 record leaves them in sixth place in the Western Conference.
Kyle Pereira led the way Saturday with a hat trick, all in the third period.
Pereira joins Kevin Mitchell and Kevin Dallman (who did it three times) as the only Storm defencemen to ever notch a hat trick.
