Storm dumped by Knights
Sunday afternoon at the Sleeman Centre in front of nearly 3,400 fans, the Storm jumped out to 1-0 and 2-1 leads before surrendering seven unanswered goals and falling 8-2 versus the London Knights.
On Friday night at home versus Erie, Seth Griffith led the way with a hat trick in London’s 8-2 win. Two days later, he was nearly as impressive with a pair of goals and an assist in another 8-2 decision. The line of Griffith with the Rupert brothers proved too much for Guelph to handle with nine points combined.
Scoring for the Storm were Jason Dickinson with his third of the season and Matt Finn with his first.
Next Friday night, the Storm will host the Owen Sound Attack at the Sleeman Centre in a 7:30 start. Friday’s game will include a Hometown Heroes presentation as the Storm honours nine of our local Olympians and Paralympians from the 2012 London Olympics before the game.
