
Scott was named Head Coach on December 23, 2010 and steered the team to a 19-12-0-2 record during the second half of the 2010-11 season. Prior to stepping down as Head Coach on January 13, 2015, Walker’s teams compiled a 163-94-8-13 record in the regular season, including a franchise best 52-12-2-2 season in 2013-14. His playoff record stands at 21-16, following a historic 16-4 run to the OHL title in 2014. Scott finished third in the OHL Coach of the Year voting following the 2013-14 season.
At the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championships in Montreal/Toronto, Scott won a gold medal as Assistant Coach with Team Canada.
Walker also served as an assistant coach for Team Canada at the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championships in Calgary/Edmonton, where he won a bronze medal.
Scott starred as a defenceman in the OHL with the Owen Sound Platers but played his 15 NHL seasons as a forward after being drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in 1993. Walker posted 379 points in 829 NHL games with Vancouver, Nashville, Carolina and Washington, including a career-high 67 points to lead the Nashville Predators in 2003-04. He also represented Canada at the IIHF World Championships three times (1999, 2001, 2005), capturing a silver medal in 2005.
