Pittons hope to help Thunder
By Scott Linesburgh, Stockton Record – Jason and Bryan Pitton have made their mother very happy.
Although both are adults and have spent years living away from their home in Brampton, Ont., Lori Pitton admits she is pleased that for the first time in their lives, her boys are playing for the same team.
“It’s makes me feel good and I know it’s something they’ve always wanted,” Lori Pitton said.
The Pitton brothers are finally wearing the same jersey will try to help the Thunder get a win at 7:30 p.m. today when it hosts the Idaho Steelheads at Stockton Arena. They are the second set of brothers to play for the Thunder, following twins Cam and Chris Abbott, who played a few games for Stockton in 2006.
Bryan and Jason Pitton have not lived in the same place during the hockey season in seven years, and they said they are having fun, enjoying each other’s company and making it easy on their parents when they want to visit their sons.
“It’s a great situation for us, it’s cool that we get to play and hang out together,” Jason Pitton said. “And of course my parents love it. It’s working out really well.”
Jason Pitton, 23, was signed as a free agent in the offseason and has bene one of the team’s most productive forwards. Bryan Pitton, 21, was assigned to the Thunder by its NHL parent franchise, the Edmonton Oilers, and will start tonight.
