Panik scored first NHL goal
Richard Panik became the 44th former Storm player to skate in an NHL regular season game on February 11th and 12 days later the talented forward scored his first career NHL win in a 5-2 Tampa Bay Lightning win over the Carolina Hurricanes.
The flashy Panik graduated from the Guelph Storm following the 2010-11 season after collecting 25 points in 24 regular season contests.
Earlier this season, Panik was named to the AHL All-Star Game in Providence, Rhode Island. The Slovak forward joins Michael Caruso as the only two Storm alumni to make their NHL debut in 2012-13.
