Trio of Storm Prospects invited to Hockey Canada’s Under-17 Summer Training Camp
Hockey Canada announced today they have invited Guelph Storm draftees Tag Bertuzzi, Mason Primeau, and Mark Woolley to Team Canada’s summer training camp for the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge.
Bertuzzi was the Storm’s first round, second overall pick in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection. The six-foot-one, 190-pound centre spent the 2016-17 season as captain of the Jr. Grizzlies, recording 21 goals and 29 assists for 50 points in 49 games.
Primeau, drafted by the Storm in the second round, 22nd overall in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection, is a product of the Toronto Nationals minor hockey program. He had 66 points (30 goals, 36 assists) in 71 games in 2016-17, helping the Nationals capture the Kraft Cup as the GTHL’s top regular season team.
Woolley, selected 54th overall and a six-foot-two, 195-pound native of St. Thomas, Ontario, recorded 23 points (11 goals, 12 assists) in 33 games played with the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs Minor Midget AAA squad during the 2016-17 season.
The World Under 17 Hockey Challenge will be held in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John British Columbia from November 5th-11th 2017.
