Tracking the Storm – Zac Leslie
The Ottawa, Ont., native was drafted by the Storm #63 overall in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection Draft. Zac spent his entire OHL career with the Storm. Appearing in 250 games wearing the Storm jersey, Zac notched 39-goals and 116-assists. In his final season with the Storm, Zac was a member of the leadership group as an assistant captain.
Zac has several off-ice highlights as well, including being the recipient of the Most Improved Player award (2012-2013), the Mike Kelly Humanitarian Award winner (2014-2015), and the Top Defenceman Award winner (2014-2015).
Following his time with the Guelph Storm, Zac has spent time in the American Hockey League playing for the Ontario Reign, Chicago Wolves, and the Stockton Heat. Most recently, Zac signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Ottawa Senators and has since been featured in 26-games with the AHL affiliate the Belleville Senators, boosting 1-goal and 8-assists.
