With everyone back from NHL training camps, Guelph gets its first win of the season, 6-0 over Oshawa
A pair of old dogs were showing some new tricks for their new team Friday night at the Sleeman Centre.
Ethan Czata and Ryan Roobroek, acquired in separate trades from the Niagara IceDogs over the summer, led the way as the Guelph Storm downed the Oshawa Generals 6-0 for their first win of the season.
Czata scored twice and Roobroek once in the win.
The pair, along with 10 other Storm players, were at NHL camps last weekend and weren’t around for the team’s to losses.
“With all of us back it’s going to be a fun year, and this was just the start,” said Czata, a Tampa Bay Lightning prospect. “Everyone here is a great player and it’s just going to elevate everyone’s game.”
“It’s fun, every guy out there has speed and skill. It’s definitely fun,” Roobroek added.
Both Roobroek and Czata were pretty thrilled to find out they’d been traded to Guelph.
