Ten members of Storm City to attend NHL Development Camps
The 2024 NHL Entry Draft has ended and teams are looking to the future with development camps kicking off this week. The Storm has ten players who will represent the organization at various NHL camps.
Jett Luchanko – Philadelphia Flyers
Jett was taken in the first round, 13th overall in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft this past weekend. Prior to the draft, Luchanko attended the NHL Scouting Combine, where he showed his athleticism finishing in the top 25 for 13 of the 17 fitness testing events, including a top 5 finish for 6 of the events, click here to read more. He had an impressive sophomore season with the Storm, appearing in 68 regular season games and putting up 74 points (20 goals, 54 assists). He will attend the Philadelphia Flyers Development Camp from July 2-5.
Cam Allen – Washington Capitals
Cam was taken in the fifth round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft by the Washington Capitals. Cam missed much of the season due to injury, appearing in his first game on January 26th. He tallied 2 goals and 7 assists through 25 games. He will attend the Washington Capitals Development Camp from July 2-6.
Vilmer Alriksson – Vancouver Canucks
Vilmer was taken in the fourth round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft by the Vancouver Canucks before being selected by the Guelph Storm in the CHL Import Draft last July. In his first season with the Storm Vilmer appeared in 67 games tallying 33 points (17 goals, 16 assists). He will attend the Vancouver Canucks Development Camp from July 1-4.
Michael Buchinger – St. Louis Blues
Michael was taken in the third round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft by the St. Louis Blues. The Storm blueliner tallied 47 points (10 goals, 37 assists) through 52 regular season games. On March 1st, 2023 he inked an entry-level contract with the Blues. He will attend the St. Louis Blues Development Camp from July 1-3.
Jake Karabela – Dallas Stars
Jake has spent the last three seasons with the Storm, appearing in 201 career games and tallying 139 points (55 goals, 84 assists). He had a career-high 55 points in 65 games through the 2023/2024 regular season. He will attend the Dallas Stars Development Camp from July 1-4.
Max Namestnikov – Winnipeg Jets
Max is coming off his third season in the OHL, notching 50 points (24 goals, 26 assists) in 68 regular season games. He will be attending the Winnipeg Jets Development Camp.
Braeden Bowman – Vegas Golden Knights
Braeden Bowman completed his overage season with the Guelph Storm, he appeared in 184 career games, tallying 180 points (97 goals, 83 assists). He will attend the Vegas Golden Knights Development Camp from July 1-6.
Charlie Paquette – Detroit Red Wings
Charlie is coming off a career-high season where he notched 35 points (21 goals, 14 assists) through 68 games. He will attend the Detroit Red Wings Development Camp from July 1-5.
Rowan Topp – Calgary Flames
Rowan has completed his second season with the Storm after appearing in 64 games throughout the 2024/2024 season. He will be attending the Calgary Flames Development Camp.
Leo Serlin – Los Angeles Kings
Leo Serlin has completed his rookie season with the Storm, where he tallied 20 points (10 goals, 10 assists) in 64 games. He will be attending the Los Angeles Kings Development Camp from July 1-3.
