2014-15 Schedule Released

GUELPH, ON – The Guelph Storm will begin defence of their OHL title on Friday, September 26th as the Belleville Bulls visit the Sleeman Centre for the 2014-15 regular season opener.
The early-season portion of the schedule will see the Storm play at home for the first five Fridays of the OHL schedule, highlighted by a 2014 Rogers Championship Series rematch vs. the North Bay Battalion on Friday, October 10th.
The Highway 7 rivalry with the Kitchener Rangers will be in full swing at the Sleeman Centre, with the first of four home matchups being a 2pm matinee on Sunday, November 23rd. The Rangers also visit on Sunday, January 11th for a 6:30pm evening affair, and another Sunday matinee on March 1st. The final home installment of the Highway 7 Rivalry will take place during March break on St. Patrick’s Day, with the Storm wearing special jerseys in support of RBC Play Hockey.
The rival London Knights will visit the Sleeman Centre three times in 2014-15, beginning with a 6:30pm start on Sunday, October 26th. The Knights also come to town on Sunday, November 9th during Remembrance Week, for which a special recognition of our nation’s veterans is planned. The final home matchup with the Knights will take place Friday, January 30th at 7:30pm.
Storm fans looking to catch a glimpse of 2015 NHL Draft prospect Connor McDavid have three options, as McDavid’s Erie Otters visit Guelph on December 20th, January 23rd and February 20th. The season series with the Otters has added intrigue in 2014-15, as it will be a rematch of the 2014 Western Conference Championship which saw the Storm dispatch the Otters in five games.
The 2014 holiday season is highlighted by a home date with the Barrie Colts on Sunday, December 28th, while the annual Family Day game will take place on Monday, February 16th vs. the Windsor Spitfires.
New this season, the Storm are offering a pair of 7-game mini-packs that offer Storm fans a taste of the action against seven great opponents.
