Steelheads, Petes Complete Trade
The Mississauga Steelheads have completed a trade to send defenseman Austin Osmanski to the Peterborough Petes in exchange for 4th round selections in 2018 and 2020.
Osmanski, a 7th round selection (189th overall) of the Buffalo Sabres at the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, has played his entire OHL career to date with the Steelheads. Originally selected by the Steelheads in the 6th round (105th overall) of the 2014 OHL Priority Selection, Osmanski is now in his third season in the league. Osmanski has racked up four goals, 15 assists and a +4 rating in the OHL. As a reliable blue liner, Osmanski played a crucial role in the Steelheads’ 2017 Eastern Conference Championship last season.
The Steelheads would like to thank Austin and the Osmanski family and wish them the best in Peterborough.
