WESTLAND INSURANCE COMMUNITY PLAYER OF THE MONTH: MacGREGOR RICHMOND
The Brampton Steelheads proudly announce that MacGregor Richmond has been named the Westland Insurance Community Player of the Month for October.
Over the last few seasons, Richmond has always played a role in community involvement with the team. In the month of October, he took the lead in the Steelhead’s Pink in the Rink game, a night dedicated to awareness for cancer research. MacGregor, who has a direct connection to the cause, helped support the game day for Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer and The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
In the offseason, MacGregor also uses his time to give back to the kids within the community of Brampton. This past summer, he spent his days coaching a minor hockey camp. Working with children aged eight to 14, Richmond helped develop their skills both on and off the ice, demonstrating how hockey is more than just scoring goals.
Through his leadership and dedication to the Brampton community, we proudly name MacGregor Richmond the Westland Insurance Community Player of the Month.
“I’ve been around this team for a while so I know about all the events that can be done in such a central area. Brampton, Mississauga, even Toronto offer a lot of great opportunities to give back to the community with the amount of people here. I love being able to not only promote the team but also meet so many new people within the hockey world. I look forward to continuing to attend different events and grow the game of hockey in the community.” Commented MacGregor Richmond
Congratulations MacGregor!
