Steelheads Select Jack Hughes 8th Overall
The Mississauga Steelheads Hockey Club are pleased to announce the selection of Jack Hughes of the Toronto Marlboros with the 8th overall pick in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection.
Born May, 14th 2001, Hughes is a highly skilled and dynamic centre who served as captain for the Toronto Marlboros of the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL). This past season with the Marlboros, Hughes recorded 73 points (23 goals and 50 assists) in 33 games. Hughes added seven points (three goals and four assists) in five games at the OHL Cup.
The entire Steelheads organization would like to welcome Jack and his family to Mississauga.
