The Saginaw Spirit have clinched a spot in the 2011 playoffs, and the team is currently soaring towards the post-season with an OHL West Division leading 80 points.
The Spirit would like to invite fans out to catch the Playoff Spirit! Tickets for home games one and two of the first round of the OHL playoffs will go on sale to the general public Monday March 7, 2011. Ticket pricing for the first round remains the same as the regular season! Fans can purchase their tickets at the Saginaw Spirit Store, 5789 State Street in Saginaw, or at SaginawSpirit.com or any TicketMaster Outlet including The Dow Event Center Box Office.

The Ontario Hockey League playoffs are played as a best-of-seven series over four rounds, the winner of which advances to the 2011 CHL MasterCard Memorial Cup Tournament in Mississauga, Ontario.
OHL First Round: Thursday, March 24 through Tuesday, April 5
OHL Conference Semi-Finals: Wednesday, April 6 through Monday, April 18
OHL Conference Finals: Tuesday, April 19 through Sunday, May 1
OHL Finals: Monday, May 2 through Monday, May 16
CHL MasterCard Memorial Cup (Hosted by Mississauga): Friday, May 20 through Sunday, May 29.
The top eight teams in each conference qualify for the OHL playoffs with the division leaders ranked one-two in each Conference. In the first round of the playoffs, first place plays eighth, second plays seventh, third plays sixth and fourth plays fifth in each conference. Teams are re-seeded within their conference after each round and the division winners are always ranked 1-2 within the conference as long as they progress. The champions from each conference play in the OHL Championship Series for the J. Ross Robertson Cup.
