Kids Takeover presented by Covenant Kids

The Saginaw Spirit are hosting the second Kids Takeover presented by Covenant Kids at the January 18, 2025, Spirit home game. Six lucky kids will get to join the Spirit Staff on a game day, learning the ins and outs of all things Spirit hockey.

In order to apply for a position, applicants (ages 7-12), must complete the below registration. A short video (under 2 minutes) is recommended explaining why the applicant believes they would be a good fit for a role. Spirit Staff will be picking the winner for each position. Two weeks prior to the game, each winner and their parent will be asked to attend a brief meeting at the Spirit office to cover all important details for the game night.

Applications will close on January 6, 2025. Those selected for a position will be notified on January 7, 2025.

Positions Available

Jr. Social Media (One spot available)

Assist in gathering content during pre-game, warm-ups, and in-game
Assist in uploading content to Spirit social media channels
Help create graphics for social media

Jr. Promo Team Member (One spot available)

Assist intermission activities & t-shirt tosses
Assist with fun in-game activations for fans
Read promotions as required, such as chuck-a-puck

Jr. PA Announcer (One spot available)

Welcome the Saginaw spirit onto the ice
Make any announcements in-game as necessary, including Spirit goal calls
Assist PA announcer as directed
Get a tour of the Control Room and game operations facilities

Jr. Game Day Manager (One spot available)

Assist with Game Day presentation and activities, help with intermission activities
Help set-up events for the day
Be provided tour of the facility and arena
Assist with fun in-game activations for fans
Read any promotions as required
