Tucker Robertson Commits to Petes
Peterborough Petes General Manager Mike Oke announced Sunday that the team has received a commitment from 2019 OHL Priority Selection pick Tucker Robertson.
Robertson, a 5’10”, 170lbs right winger, was selected in the 4th round, 72nd overall by the Petes in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection. The 2003-born Toronto native registered 29 goals, 37 assists, 66 points, and 36 penalty minutes with the Toronto Minor Midget AAA Marlboros of the GTHL last season, where he was a teammate of Petes defenceman Artem Guryev. Robertson won gold at the 2019 OHL Gold Cup with Team GTHL Blue.
“It’s always been my goal to play in the OHL, and I’m honoured to be a member of the Peterborough Petes,” commented Robertson. “I think I can bring a lot of skill and grit to the team, and I can’t wait to get started.”
“We’re very excited to have Tucker join our team,” added Oke. “He made a great impression at Training Camp last week, and we’re happy that he’s chosen to commit to the Petes and to play in the Ontario Hockey League.”
Petes Pre-Season presented by CIBC Wood Gundy Peterborough continues with the final game of the OHL’s Pre-Season Showcase on Sunday at 2:00pm against the Kitchener Rangers.
