Steve Smith (1979-1980)
Steve played only five games with the Peterborough Petes, but moved on to have a successful OHL career with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. The Trenton, Ontario native played there for three seasons and was drafted 16th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. He went on to enjoy a successful AHL career, making various NHL appearances throughout his professional career. He played for both the Hershey Bears and Rochester Americans of the AHL and the Philadelphia Flyers and Buffalo Sabres of the NHL.
