Rick MacLeish (1967-1970)
Rick played four of his five years of junior hockey in a Petes uniform, including a final season in which he put up 101 points. Rick’s successes led to him being drafted 4th overall by the Boston Bruins in the 1970 NHL Amateur Draft. Rick was sent to the Philadelphia Flyers in a 3-way deal between Philadelphia, Boston and Toronto and ended up being a main staple in the Philly uniform for 10 seasons. He is well known for being the first ever Flyer to score fifty goals in a season, and for his Stanley Cup winning goal in 1974. In 2016, MacLeish passed away at 66, after battling meningitis, kidney and liver problems.
