Petes win second in a row with 2-1 win in Guelph
Zach Harnden and John Armstrong scored for the Petes while Jason Missiaen made 33 saves and was awarded first star honours in the Petes 2-1 victory over the host Guelph Storm.
Harnden opened the scoring for the second consecutive night 4:44 into the first period to give the Petes a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes of play. Last night Harnden scored 4:05 into the game to opening the scoring against the Oshawa Generals.
Brandon Buck got the Storm on the board with just 12 seconds remaining in the second period to tie the game at 1.
Armstrong scored his fifth goal in five games since returning from the Christmas break at 3:59 of the third period. Jason Missiaen closed the door the rest of the way giving the Petes a 2-1 road victory.
Next action for the Petes is Sunday in Oshawa when they face the Generals for the sixth time this season.
