Petes host Sting on Thursday Night
The Sarnia Sting and former Petes bench boss Dave MacQueen make their lone trip to Peterborough Memorial Centre for the 2010-11 season on Thursday October 14th at 7:00pm.
The Sting currently sit third in the West division with a 3-4-1-0 record and feature leading rookie scorers and first overall selection in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection Alex Galchenyuk with 6 goals and 13 points as well as first round CHL Import selection Nail Yakupov with 5 goals and 13 points. Tyler Peters, 4 goals and 12 points, Kale Kerbashian 4 goals and 10 points and Brandon Alderson 3 goals and 7 points round out the Stings top five in scoring.
Goaltender John Cullen has played the majority of time in goal for the Sting with a 2-3-1-0 record, 3.33 GAA and .899 Save % while rookie Brandon Hope has played 2 games with a 1-1-0-0 record, 3.52 GAA and .891 Save %.
Sophomore forward Matt Puempel continues to lead the Petes with 5 goals and 9 points followed Ryan Spooner with 3 goals and 6 points in 5 games. The Petes leading rookie scorers are Lino Martschini 2 goals and 5 points and Slater Koekkoek with 1 goal and 4 points on the blueline.
Andrew D’Agostini has seen action in 7 of the Petes games with a 1-5-0-0 record, 5.01 GAA and .859 Save %. Rookie netminder Keinan Brown has played in 3 games with a 0-1-0-0 record, 6.08 GAA and .828 Save %.
