Petes fall to generals
For the second consecutive game the Peterborough Petes came out of the gates flying scoring 1:37 into the game on an Andrew Yogan shot that deflected off Alan Quine past Oshawa General sgoaltender Kevin Bailie spotting the visitors an early 1-0 lead. On Friday night in Mississauga Dylanm Fitze gave the Petes a 1-0 lead 2:23 into the game only to see his teams fall 3-2 to the majors. On Sunday night the Ptees scored 1:37 into the game, but not again until 1:54 remaining in the game sandwiching a pair of goals around 5 by the Generals.
Christian Thomas evened the game for the Generals 7:53 into the first sending the teams to the dressing rooms tied at 1 after 20 minutes. Scott Laughton recorded the lone goal of the second period moving the Generals infront 2-1 at 14:01 on the power play.
Emerson Clark opened third period scoring 5:33 into the final period and Laughton made it 4-1 less than a minute later. Clark recorded his 2nd of the game at 16:41 before Pierog cut into the lead at 18:06 making the final 5-2 for the Generals.
Next action for the Petes is Friday night when they travel to Kingston to take on the Frontenacs in a key divisional game before hosting the Sudbury Wolves on Saturday night at the Memorial Centre.
