Petes Draft Alumni’s Son with 5th selection
The Peterborough Petes kept it in the family with their 5th selection in today’s OHL Priority Selection taking Joey West, son of former Pete Gerry West. The senior of the two West’s played 64 games for the Petes in the mid 70’s.
Joey says "it is an honour to follow in my fathers footsteps. He played for the Petes in the 70’s, so I know a little bit about Peterborough.
The smaller statured West says he is "a two way player with offensive ability that will not shy away from the physical side of the game."
