Kay Whitmore (1983-1987)
Kay played his entire junior career in the maroon and white uniform of the Peterborough Petes and was drafted 26th overall in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft by the Hartford Whalers. He spent five years in the Hartford organization before moving onto the Vancouver Canucks for three full seasons. After bouncing around the minor leagues with various teams, Kay found himself back in the NHL in 2000-2001 when he played five games with the Boston Bruins and the following season, when he played one game with the Calgary Flames. He retired after the 2001/2002 season. Kay is currently the goaltending supervisor of the NHL and also had a stint as a Petes assistant coach from 2002-2004.
