John Garrett (1969-1971)
Born in Trenton, John began playing for the Petes in the 1969-1970 season for a total of two seasons. John was drafted 38th overall in the 1971 NHL Amateur Draft by the St. Louis Blues. After two years in the minors, John left the Blues and headed to the WHA. John spent 7 seasons in the WHA with Minnesota, Toronto, Birmingham and New England/Hartford before moving into the NHL with the Whalers when the NHL expanded in 1979-80. After 3 seasons with the Whalers in the NHL, John is traded to Quebec and the Nordiques where he would spend 2 seasons before moving on to Vancouver and spending his final 3 NHL seasons in Vancouver with the Canucks. After retiring, John has become a hockey analyst on network television.
