Griffin Roubos to Play in Jr. B Showcase
A Peterborough Petes draft pick will be among the top young junior B players in Ontario will be in Guelph on Monday for the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League Top Prospects Game.
“The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League has developed some of the top hockey talent in Ontario,” GOJHL commissioner Chuck Williams said. “The Top Prospects Game will identify the next crop of elite players in Ontario.”
A total of 46 players representing all 26 GOJHL teams will participate.
The St. Catharines Falcons will be represented by defencemen Griffin Roubos and James Guest.
Roubos, a 17-year-old native of Stoney Creek and Peterborough Petes prospect, has five goals and 15 points in 29 games for the Falcons.
“Griffin is an exciting prospect,” St. Catharines coach Wes Wolfe said. “He has so many tools — size, strength, speed, shot, physicality and athleticism.
