DRAFT RESULTS: 2016 OHL Priority Selection Presented by ATU Local 1320
The Peterborough Petes selected 17 players in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection presented by Amalgamated Transit Union Peterborough Local 1320 on Saturday, April 9, 2016.
In the first round, with the eighth overall pick, the Petes selected left wing Pavel Gogolev from CIH Academy in Rockland, Ontario. In the fourteen rounds to follow, the team added 16 promising young players to the depth chart, including three centres, three left wingers, four right wingers, six defencemen, and one goalie. They are as follows:

5th round, 89th overall: Hunter Jones, Goalie, 6’3″, 173lbs, Mississauga Reps
6th round, 108th overall: Matt McNamara, Defence, 5’10”, 177lbs, Peterborough Petes
6th round, 109th overall: Matt Falls, Right Wing, 6’0″, 165lbs, Toronto Jr. Canadiens
7th round, 129th overall: Max Ellis, Centre, 5’9″, 141lbs, Detroit Honeybaked U16

Each player is expected to be introduced at the Year-End Banquet at the Trentwinds Centre on Friday, May 13, 2016, and has been invited to attend the 2016 Petes Development Camp on Saturday, May 14 at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
