Tommy Purdeller – Meet the Petes Prospects

The Peterborough Petes are proud to release the third episode of our Meet the Petes Prospects series, featuring Tommy Purdeller.

Purdeller was selected by the Petes in the 1st round, 15th overall in the 2022 CHL Import Draft. Purdeller is a 6’0 Forward from Brunico, Italy who most recently played for EC Red Bull Akademie in Salzburg, Austria where he recored 11 goals and 24 assists for 35 points in 30 games with his Austrian team.

When asked about his most memorable hockey moment Purdeller said: “This past year when I played in the world juniors with the national U-18 team we won the bronze medal. To be able to host the tournament in Italy in front of home fans and also to win the bronze as the underdogs was pretty cool. I also got honoured as the best forward of the tournament which made it even more special.”

Purdeller scored 8 goals and added 4 assists for 12 points in 10 games representing Italy at the U18 and U20 world championship tournaments in 2021-2022.
