Andrew Verner (1989-1992)
Andrew played for the Petes from 1989 until 1992. He was selected 34th overall by the Edmonton Oilers in 1991 after a successful career in the maroon and white. He went on to play three seasons in the AHL with the Cape Breton Oilers. Since 1995, he played in various European leagues, most notably in the DEL and in Austria. He ended his career in the EIHL with the Newcastle Vipers. Though never playing in the NHL, he had a successful professional career and even took home a bronze medal with Canada at the 1995 World Championships. He was hired on as a goalie coach for the Petes in 2012 and was then named an assistant coach in 2014 (a position he still holds).
