Petes beat Barrie 6-2 to close out weekend
The Peterborough Petes beat the Barie Colts 6-2 to close out a 3 in 3 weekend as Steve Downie Returns to the Petes line up.
Steve Downie opened the scoring 6:04 into the first period before Bryan Little tied it up at 16:58. Jamie Tardif scored his 24th of the season at 19:58 shorthanded to give the Petes a 2-1 lead going into the dressing room.
The two teams would exchange goals in the second, as Vladimir Nikiforof and Greg Stewart would score to give the Petes a 3-2 lead after 2 periods.
The third period was all Petes as Downie would score his second of the game and Jordan Staal his 21st of the season before Patrick Kaleta would get his 12th of the season to give the Petes a 6-2 win over the Colts.
