Otters Pick Up Cameron Lizotte From Colts
Erie, Pennsylvania – Erie Otters General Manager Dave Brown announced this evening that the team has acquired defenseman Cameron Lizotte from the Barrie Colts in exchange for three choices at future OHL Priority Selections.
Lizotte, 6’-2”, 195-pound defenseman, has appeared in 27 games this season with the Barrie Colts, recording five assists and 44 PIM. Originally a second-round pick (25th overall) of the Peterborough Petes, the Falconbridge, Ontario native was traded to Barrie near last year’s trade deadline on January 8, 2016. The 19-year-old has played in 187 OHL games tallying two goals, 21 assists, and 297 PIMs over the course of his career
The Otters will be sending three picks in future OHL Priority Selections to Barrie in the exchange: Sault Ste. Marie’s 10th in 2017, Erie’s 5th in 2018, and Erie’s 3rd in 2022.
